I've been saving lids for a good while.
I have a couple of crafting ideas for them.
I have a lot of lids.
ONE IDEA
Last year I received a bottle of red 3-D, or puffy, paint in a swap. What am I to do with this? I haven't done any crafts that require this type of paint. And then I saw my lids.
So, I made my own personalized stamps! I was quite pleased with myself and showed my sweetie to which he responded "What is that?". I've labeled the images of my stamps so you don't have to guess what they are.
The stamped result is a bit primitive looking, but I think it's charming.
I would like to make note cards or gift tags using these and other images.
Above: stamped images
Below: what the 'stamp' looks like
I think it's funny how some of these 'stamps' look like messy globs, especially the little owlie. But they turn out pretty recognizable, unless you ask my husband!
And of course Urban had to have a boy stamp:
I think this stamp would make a cute Thank You card for the birthday gifts he received . . . which reminds me . . .
I have a tutorial in the making, although I don't think it requires much instruction, but the paint is drying on my tute samples. They will be ready by tomorrow.
I love the stamps! Super cute :)
ReplyDeleteHow clever...I'd not have thought of that use for the puffy paint in a hundred years!!!

ReplyDeleteYou are wonderfully clever! I do things well, but I don't 'create' well.. coming up with an idea to make something out of nothing. Kudo's to you!
