1. Sister and nephew visiting
2. Husband has job
3. Parents are healthy
As with all good intentions, this is late - but {IMPORTANT} to me.
As regular readers know, my sweet sister-in-law Lissa has been fighting for her life since the beginning of December, 2009. It takes tragedy to bring blessings into focus and I can say my eyes and heart are looking at life from a different perspective.
In 2010, I am going to begin each post with at least 3 blessings I am thankful for.
This photo was shared a few posts ago, but it epitomizes happiness for me!
Thank you so much for the time you take to blog. I learn so much from you and what you share. Thank you for the time you take to read my blog.
Be Aware, Be Thankful!
You're such a special lady Mel.
ReplyDeleteI love this and your photo!! (I know I've said it before :c) )

Great idea. A few years ago I watched an Oprah show where she talked about keeping a gratitude journal. I took the challenge, and wrote 3 things I was grateful for in a book faithfully for a year. (and it was a very difficult time at our house) It literally changed my perspective on life, and how I felt about things. There is always a gift in everything that happens.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea! Sometimes it does take a challenging situation to make us stop and think, and be thankful. We should all count our blessings every day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a special photo! One to cherish!
It's a great challenge for all of us. Thank you for the reminder. I love the darling photo of you and your son; it was worth a repost (and maybe again a couple of times in the future, too)! :)
ReplyDeleteEspecially with young kids, I have rediscovered what it is to live in the moment. And for me being grateful is one of those keys that allows me to stop and 'smell the roses' and bask in the glory of today!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, Mel!
And that picture is already one of those timeless ones for you and your son.
It's always a pleasure to stop by and visit our blog. I love your picture. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Mel. We should all take the time to be thankful for our many blessings daily.
ReplyDeleteI continue to keep your SIL in my prayers and hope she is continuing to improve.
Your folks Christmas gifts were lovely. I love all the feathery quilting.
How sweet Mel I do love that pic! and I'm looking forward to reading many thankful posts!
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful idea and you know I love your little guy, when you get a chance please give us a SIL up-date xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo, Mel - it sure does epitomize happiness. It's great to remember all our blessings and that attitude can really help in times of stress. Hope Lissa is doing better -

I tend to complain more than I'm grateful. Thanks for the reminder.
