Spring Quilt Festival 2010 Entry

Sampler Quilt from Alex Anderson's Start Quilting 2nd Edition  37" square
Machine pieced in 2003

This is the first quilt I made with 30's reproduction fabrics.  I had been collecting them for a while but hadn't found the right pattern for them.

This quilt is the first quilt I machine quilted by myself on my friend's long arm Gammill machine.

AND this is the first quilt pattern I ever taught.  I found it the perfect project for beginners and taught two classes in the quilt shop I owned years ago.

Have you seen all the amazing quilts out there??  Thanks Amy and all participants for all your inspiring posts!

  1. Very nice...I never used to be attracted to 30's fabrics but have lately become interested in them. You did a really good job on that quilt....and how nice to be able to long-arm it yourself, too.
