This quilt was made by my maternal grandmother's mother, Frances Cordelia Cornia Gillette.

I don't know if there is an official name for the block pattern, I've seen variations of the same era.
All the petals are hand appliquéd.
Something I found interesting for the time is the blue thread that she quilted around the petals.
I forgot to get a picture of the back of the quilt, darn!
No date is on the quilt.

wow, it looks to be in great condition. I love the sashing, it was such and "in" color then. By the way, she sure was a pretty lady, you can tell from her eyes she was kind.
