Grandmother's Flower Garden

1. Memories
2. Day dreaming
3. Tomorrow's another day
* * *

The last quilt in my Aunt Susanne's collection of quilts is a Grandmother's Flower Garden (1" hexagon) quilt hand pieced and hand quilted by my grandmother in 1931.

The arrow is pointing to my Grandmother's name, Ruth Park 1931, embroidered in the quilt.  In 1931, the date on the quilt she was not married so technically, she should have her maiden name Gillette.

The colors are exquisite aren't they??

Love the triple zig-zag border.

I remembered to take a pic of the back - {AMAZING!}

Have you seen the other quilts in my family's collection?

  19. That is one of the nicest GFG quilts I've seen in a very long time. What an antique, heirloom treasure! I'm making a GFG in purples and lavenders ...
