Last Minute Mother's (Ladies) Day Gifts

OK, you still have a few days (and counting) to hand-make something wonderful for your mother, mother-in-law, daughters, friends, yourself for Mother's Day!
I've gathered some of my favs that are easy and impressive and they've all come from bloggers that I actually 'know' or communicate often with via blogs!

Make a lasting bouquet of flowers; Going Sew Crazy has a tutorial!

Make a fabric card, tutorial by Craft Apple

Make an adorable Doll House pot holder designed by Nanette of Freda's Hive
(Yes, this is MY Doll House pot holder that sweet Nanette gave me!)

Dottie from Apples Quilts and More shares a tutorial for a paper bag album

Sherri of A Quilting Life has a great tutorial on a table topper or small wall quilt using 5" charms.

Why not keep it easy?
Get your favorite lady a gift certificate to Jane's Fabrics?
Who wouldn't love (MORE) fabric??
or pick something special from
online quilt shop!

I know you know someone who loves bags and totes! Stephanie's got instructions for a great one here at her Loft Creations!

These two are super useful gifts that any quilter / seamstress would love. Karen of Sew Many Ways is a genius with gadgets!
Karen's Car Caddy is probably the most innovative sewing idea I've ever seen, and she shows you how to make it!
Another handy item is her renovated Home Depot apron.

There is no better place to find creative tutorials than on quilter's blogs, thanks to all who write tutorials and share!!

A Few Fun Finds

So, I know most of you already visit Annette of Sunshine Yellow often, but for some reason, I didn't have her on my favs list (at the bottom of my blog).  I do now, and if you are one of the few who haven't visited her, go on over!  She's got a very welcoming and comfortable place!  One of my favorite things about Annette, is that (according to her profile description) she's madly in love with her husband!

Check out this darling Button Broach that Manda of Krafty Panda made!  She said she used a hot glue gun to keep them in place.  I love it!
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Tuesdays are Tool Time over at Karen's of Sew Many Ways and you DON'T want to miss this one!!  It's a travel sized sewing center!  I'm thinking it would make GREAT birthday gifts!

OK, now that Easter is over, and I hope you all had a good one, we need to get into gear for Mother's Day!  I found ten, yes 10 ideas for you all from one place!  Vintage Threads is your one stop tutorial and idea place!  Go on over now, you have plenty of time to make something special for a mother that you think is great!

Fundraiser Will Continue

I haven't had much traffic on my blog today so I thought that I would extend the Fundraiser for 1 week. I'll close on Sunday evening of next week, April 12th. I didn't have much time to advertise this event and I know most people don't get a chance to wander around blogland until the weekend, so tell all your friends who want quality handmade items to come on over!
Mother's Day is coming up, perhaps you can talk your sweeties into buying a made-with-love item, or treat yourself!
