Reading Challenge!

I found a GREAT website for book readers; www.stainlesssteeldroppings.com Every September 1st through October 31st Carl challenges readers to read from the following genres: Mystery, Suspense, Thriller, Dark Fantasy, Gothic, Horror or Supernatural. We are to post our pool of possible reads and then read the required books for the challenge we've selected. I've chosen to participate in Peril the Second in which "I read two books of any length, from any sub genre of scary stories that I choose." UPDATE: I have finished my pledge of two books and it's not even October yet! I guess I'll have to work on Peril the First, in which I will attempt (he-he) to read two more books by October's end! Based on some website suggestions, here are my candidates: The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman The Harrowing by Alexandra Sokoloff The Rest Falls Away by Colleen Gleason In Cold Blood by Truman Capote Finished Reading 09/24/09 The Bell Witch an American Haunting by Brent Monahan Finished Reading 09/17/08 The Mothman Prophecies by John A Keel Finished Reading 10/10/08 The Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill Finished Reading 10/20/08 The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold Finished Reading 10/25/08 I will post more as I find them. I wonder if my text book for my Intro to Mortuary Science class counts? Anyway, if you have a great book recommendation for me to read, post a comment!

I love anything by Neil Gaiman! He's written some great children's books, too, like The Wolves in the Walls. Looks like a great reading time ahead for you. Are you going to do book reviews? =)

Fantastic pool of books. I am so glad that you are joining in! I'm curious if you already have a copy of The Harrowing. I got several autographed copies of the book for giveaways for this challenge and I'd love to send you one if you are interested. Let me know (shoot me an email).
