My Sorted Background

When it comes to applique, I often like my backgrounds scrappy. It's a great way to use up your stash and to add extra whimsy to your project.
Here's what a scrappy background looks like on my Bunny Hill Designs Block of the Month.
(I've still got embroidery work to do!)
These are backgrounds all ready to go for the next instalments of the BOM.
If you are a beginning quilter or just need to test a block before you cut out your 'to die for' fabric, try it out in neutrals then save the block for an applique project!

I really like that idea a lot. And I need to get busy on my basket blocks. The month has ended already!?

You know me - the more fabric the merrier. I love the scrappy background and the texture it gives to the lovely applique.

I like your idea of scrappy backgrounds. Your blocks are very pretty too that you have semifinished.
