Lissa's Hanging in There!

Lissa had a good day in that she didn't have any incedents or fever for the last 24 hours +.  She's responsive (nodding/opened her eyes) if we wake her up and talk to her.

She can't move more than slightly nodding her head.  She is going on dialysis tomorrow so they can give her more antibiotics.  Her heart is working at about 80% and she is getting assistance with oxygen.  Her pancreases is a concern though and as soon as she stabilizes, they can remove her gall bladder.

Geri (mother-in-law) and I bought her a little pink Christmas tree, Christmas CD's and some decorations for her room.  The nurse was encouraging and thought it would be great to liven up the place a bit.

I will add your Lissa to my prayers. My mother went through some similar issues two years ago so I know how difficult this is. Glad you can be there and not far away.

Mel,

I just came across your blog because of a tutorial and I just want to send prayers along. I was just heartbroken because her son has Autism just like mine. SO GLAD to hear she is making progress.
