Retreat Day 1 Done

1. Creative son
2. Electricity
3. Ice
4. Family time

What a productive day I had on the first day of Galloping Pony's Cyber Retreat!

My son Urban stayed busy too, building things with Legos, paper, scissors and markers!

I made eight mini 9 Patch blocks to send in for the block swap.  These are the smallest little cuties I've ever made! Each block is a little over 2" sq.

Can't show you more than these clips because I want them to be surprises for the recipients!

Cleaned {part} of my studio*

I know that to some people, this is still too much to handle.  But I love it!  It has all my favorite fabrics, necessary supplies, and goodies from friends.

OK, this IS a cleaner look, but too sterile for me!  I love my chotchkies!

Here is the actual set up before I filled it up.

*My studio, since the move consists of one cabinet and a desk.  I keep the stuff I use regularly and/or the stuff I like to see regularly in this area.  The rest of my fabric is still in boxes and takes up 97% of Urban's walk-in closet.

Since I'm cleaning, I'm going to have a giveaway of some of my stuff!  Now, this is {good} stuff!  It's just items I no longer need or have excess of.  There are also a couple of handmade (by me) items.

I have a couple boxes of fabric, patterns and books that I packed away for a future sale, I'll pull some of them out for the giveaway too!

I'll post the giveaway items on Tuesday, February 2nd.  You will have 24 hours to come and sign up on that post.  I'll draw the winners on Wednesday.

And this is what my Quilto Card looks like after 11 items have been called.  Not doing too well, but how cute are the buttons in the fancy glass?!

I've been in a cleaning mode too. I think it started for me with cleaning out my son's room to make a sewing room for me. I do lust after this Ikea set up though, especially the desk. It's on my wish list for my new room except in white. You're doing great on the retreat sewing too!

Mel, lovely... I can't get over your wonderful setup!
Your pictures inspired me to have one more go at putting some order into my creative space...

And those 9patches are so very cute.

Thanks for link to the eye-candy over at Galloping Pony! Those hexies left me breathless.
Can't wait to see what you do.

I soooo need to get into that cleaning mode for my studio, but eachtime I go in there I want to play.

I love all that you got done!

Oh my, what fun! I like your cluttered clean look; I work best that way too. Glad the retreat is going well! Happy weekend! :)

Hi Mel! I love your storage units. I can tell that the shorter one is from Ikea - is the taller one Ikea too? Great choice!
