TODAY I must finish:
February's Schnibbles project
Charming Girl's Goals
Enjoy the last of my 'alone' time before my family returns from a visit to Utah
Good thing I got the apartment cleaned yesterday!
This is my Picnic quilt for December's Schnibble's project.
I had it done for a while but was waiting for the outer border to be sent to me. This is a {VERY} busy quilt with all the prints, that's why I decided to go with a consistent outer border instead of a pieced one.
I am trying to challenge myself artistically and thought I would try techniques I'm not comfortable with in my quilting as well. On this project I mitered the corners of the outer border and added ric-rac around the inner center baskets. I'm thinking I should have added ric-rac around the white inner border too . . . well, next time!

Gorgeous, Mel! I noticed the ric-rac right away... Just lovely!
In this market, it truely is a blessing to be able to sell your home, let alone make money off it. I am so happy for you, although I know you are missing Utah.
It looks fabulous with the rick rack. It was a busy quilt with lots of hst sewing.

I love this quilt! The rick rack adds so much. I need to challenge myself to do different things too. I'm always surprised when the hard things turn out to be so easy!
