Roll, A Peek, and Finish

I've been salivating over jelly rolls now ever since they've been introduced, but haven't ever purchased one . . . until now!
The Missouri Quilt Co has amazing deals EVERY day. I look longingly at the wonderful offerings every day wishing I had a separate (full) bank account just for fabric! Last week I couldn't resist - I HAD to have this jelly roll. It was 55% off!!

This project was a 2-in-1 for me.
I joined a fat quarter / table runner swap in which my partner, Diane, sent me 9 fat quarters of her choice and I was to make her a table runner or topper from what ever pattern I wanted. I chose the one the Schnibbles group is doing for September.
I'll show you the entire quilt when Diane let's me know she's received the package. ;)

And I was able to get my Vintage Halloween Postcard Quilt quilted!
I really like how it turned out, even though I'm a bit bummed that the 'postcards' printed too light.
That's ONE of two goals for my Charming Girl's Quilt Club for September. I'll tell you right now that I don't think I'll get my other goal completed this month, but I will continue to work on it!

I have one jelly roll and haven't used it yet...can't decide what to make with it.

I'm using a jelly roll pattern right now and it's a bit fiddly - but it's great not having to cut your own strips! Table runner looks interesting. I'm sure diane will love it.

Your Halloween Postcard quilt is finished! Yipee! If you are worried about the brightness you can always give it a slight coffee bath... LOL

I just love the word 'Schnibbles' - so much potential there!

I finally used a jelly roll a little while ago and had so much fun with it. Now I just ripped into a honey bun and it was a kick too. I like your postcard quilt. Very nice.

Would you believe me if I told you last week when we went to the blacksmith meeting, we stopped in the same town as Missouri Star Quilt co for gas. I thought I'd get a break in the day to run over there, but that never happened. See we do have good deals in Missouri!

I bought my first jelly roll recently and I'm still not sure what I will be doing with it. It was on sale also, and I just couldn't pass it up. It will be fun to see what you end up doing with yours.

Congrats on your first jelly roll. I know when I bought my first, it sat on the shelf for a long time. I didn't want to open it! haha

Mel, it is a lovely jelly roll... I have been eyeing one off (as well as a book or two to go with it) for a little while... perhaps soon.

I love the quilt! The quilting is amazing! My daughter loves the Arcadia line. She picked up a few FQ last month and has redesigned her room in those colors.
