By my calculations we went to 17 quilt shops in four days!!  There were 35 shops in the hop, so we did about half.

I've been thinking I need to do something fun to commemorate my blog's 400th post, which was actually here.
The fact that my blog has accumulated over 200 followers. {tHanKS}!
And that I'm getting ready to go on my FIRST Shop Hop!! (more about that later)


So, tell me: {leave a comment on this post}
  1. Does your state/area have a shop hop?
  2. If you go, what is a MUST not to forget or do?
  3. What is one thing (or more) that you'd like to change about the shop hops you've participated in?
  4. What do you like best about the shop hops you've attended?

The items here have been part of my sewing/quilting stash for a while and in some cases slightly used.  
There are 6 different sets.  Each set will have a winner.  I will throw in some other fun stuff with each package I send out for an added surprise!

Blogiversary - Books and Baskets

Two other interests I have but don't post nearly enough about is my passion for reading and basket weaving.
I learned to weave in 2001 when my friend Cheryl taught a few of us. Cheryl had been a marine's wife and lived on several army bases. On one of the bases, North Carolina I think, she met with other wives once a week to basket weave.
I meet with 5 other friends once a month to basket weave: Cheryl, Kathy, Marianne (sister), Geri (mother in law), and Lori (sister in law). We have loads of fun weaving, chatting, eating and singing! We have a ball!

Blogiversary - You Helped

In March of 2008, I introduced you to my nephew Brock who is autistic.
I signed up with the rest of Brock's imediate and extended family for the Walk Now for Autism and held a fundraiser on my blog.
Many of you generously dontated your handmade items to be purchased during the fundraiser. Several gave monitary donations for Autism awreness. And more still sent encouraging words and took the time to learn more about Autism.
Brock's mother in particular was extremely touched that strangers would be so eager to help her sweet boy. I am greatful to all of you and continue to be amazed at how much can be done by a group of wonderful bloggers!
